Bourbon Trail Fairy Bookshop

About Us

Bourbon Trail Fairy Bookshop invites you to step into a little bit of magic right here in Campbellsville, KY. Established in 2025, our multi-county bookstore was created from a deep love of stories, community, and the belief that small businesses play a powerful role in bringing people together. Every shelf, every title, and every cozy corner of our shop is thoughtfully chosen to spark imagination and connection.

We offer a diverse and ever-changing collection of books from fiction and non-fiction to fantasy, romance, and beloved children’s titles—along with fun extras like stickers and whimsical mystery bags. But what truly sets us apart is the experience: a warm, welcoming space where children can play and explore in our dedicated playroom, families can gather for story-filled events, and readers can connect through book clubs and author signings.

As a small business, supporting other small businesses is at the heart of everything we do. When you shop with us, you’re not just purchasing a book—you’re helping sustain creativity, strengthen our local economy, and keep community-centered spaces like this alive and thriving.

At Bourbon Trail Fairy Bookshop, we believe in more than just selling books—we believe in creating a place where stories are shared, memories are made, and a love for reading can grow for generations to come.

Cute bookshop with a fun selection. It is so obvious that the owner is putting her heart into this store. She was so sweet and very knowledgeable about her indie authors!

On 9/11/2026 Emily Shoemaker had this to say:
My partner and I visited this week and were anxious about wheelchair accessibility for his power chair. It can be hard to navigate other shops on Main St. with all the tight fitting entrances and stairs to cross the street. Thankfully that wasn’t the case here. We had questions on Tik Tok about accessibility and the owner was responsive and really helpful. The back door is not accessible for his chair because the lip is too high but that is common for a lot of older buildings and it ended up not being an issue at all for us since the sidewalk and entrance out front was easily accessible for wheelchair users. The shop itself was really cute, low prices on used and new books, they also had some local leatherwork and items to customize a kindle for people who prefer them. I loved that she asked once if we need any help finding anything but didn’t keep asking. I am not a fan of feeling rushed especially when I’m shopping for my next read and she never made me feel that way in her store. They had a cozy little nook to read your purchases in and all but one shelf was 100% fully accessible. The owner gets 5 stars for me because at check out she let us know she hadn’t had anyone with accessibility needs visit and wanted to know if there was anything she could do to make her store more inclusive for people with mobility aids. She even offered to move her car if we can call in advance to use the closest parking spot which was above and beyond what I could have asked for. When we mentioned the one shelf and the dip at the back door (which really I wouldn’t expect a small business to fix especially in a older building) she still said she would make adjustments so those two things would be accessible in the future. This is the absolute best experience we have ever had with a business (small or corporate) as an interabled couple. I sincerely hope both sides of her pillow are cold every night and that all the series on her TBR are completed!

Absolutely incredible and the workers are rocking it getting this place into the place to be for book shopping.
